The Team is currently led by the Head of Planning and Commissioning (housing related) who oversees the work of the Commissioning Managers, Planning and Service Development Officers, Contracts Assistants, Performance and Finance Officers and Team Assistants. Their are also a small number of Officers working on special projects within the team.
The work of the planning and commissioning team is now governed by the newly formed Health and Wellbeing Partnership. Any recommendations that the planning and commissioning team make as a result of their work must be approved by the Health and Wellbeing Partnership.
The Planning and Commissioning Team is responsible for managing the planning and delivery of housing related support services currently funded through the SP grant this includes:
- Planning and commissioning of housing related support services based on identified needs.
- Monitoring and reviewing contracts between the Commissioning Body and providers of services.
- Ensuring the involvement of providers, service users and stakeholders in consulting about gaps in current provision and the planning of future services.
- Managing the overall budget of the Supporting People grant and ensuring providers are paid for the services that they provide.
- Making recommendations to the Health and Wellbeing Partnership Board on strategic priorities.
- Maintaining partnerships with all agencies involved in planning and delivering of housing related support services.
