On the 1st May 2008 the Supporting People Team and Leicester City Council's Housing Planning and Commissioning Team merged to form the Planning and Commissioning Team (Housing Related).
The team administers the Supporting People grant and the homeless grant from the Department of Communities and local Government (CLG).

The Vision
The Planning and Commissioning Team (housing related), and partner agencies in Leicester, will work with others to support vulnerable people to get and keep a home in the community. It will help vulnerable people to have choice and independence in their lives. This support will be at the right time, high quality and value for money.
